Carrington

Training Centre for the First Team and Academy

Welcome to Carrington Training Centre

Carrington Training Centre is the dedicated training facility for our Men’s First Team and Academy.

The Championship grade facilities in Carrington contain a large gym, players’ lounge, restaurant, recovery rooms, player briefing rooms, office space and 3 elite training pitches. The Club signed a 3-year lease with owners, Sale FC Rugby Club and invested in a significant refurbishment programme.

The facility provides a vital short-term training solution, with a longer-term ambition to build new facilities in the Borough of Stockport.

The Club is currently working closely with Stockport Borough Council to identify possible sites to build a state-of-the-art Community Football Campus that will house the Club’s teams alongside extensive community facilities that will support grassroots football and promote healthy lifestyles.

Getting to Carrington

Travel By Car

We are based just south of Manchester; 10 minutes from the M60, 15 minutes from M6, 15 minutes from the Manchester Airport, 5 minutes from Trafford Park and the Trafford Centre.

When you get to the Park, you can park anywhere on the site, there are car parks located all around the site.

From the M60

Leave the M60 at Junction 8. If you are heading north or south on the M60 these exits have a long slip road, be careful not to miss them. Follow the signs to CARRINGTON and LYMM, which put you on the A6144 (M) heading west. This is a new spur road (1.2 miles long) at the end of which is a set of traffic lights. Go straight through these on to the A6144 to another set of traffic lights (1.2 miles away). Go straight through these and the Carrington Business Park is 0.7 miles on your left.

From the M6

Both north and southbound traffic leave the M6 at Junction 20, however, the northbound traffic must be careful and follow the overhead gantry signs showing ‘A50 Lymm’.

The southbound traffic has one easy normal slip road off the M6. Both north and southbound exits lead to a roundabout above the M6. Exit this roundabout, heading east, on to the A50 following the signposts to Lymm. As you leave this roundabout be careful as the road to LYMM, which you will be taking, is only 100 yards away on your left. This is the B5158. Follow this winding country road for 1.7 miles to a T Junction, turn left and then immediately right.

You are now on the A6144 where the Carrington Business Park is located. Keep on this winding road for approximately 6 miles, going through Lymm village and Partington before reaching Carrington. The entrance is the next complex on your right after Air Products which is also on your right.
